McQueen Salver Trophy
We had a very enjoyable day at Rowallan Castle Golf Club on Sunday 14 May when the Ayrshire ladies team retained the trophy after a 2-2 match against the gents. This has become a very popular event in the Ayrshire golf calendar.
Both Junior matches were won by the boys but the Ladies won their matches to tie the match. Having won the trophy last year at Loudoun this meant that the cup was retained.
The McQueen family was represented on the day by, past Ayrshire Champion and team member, Rachael McQueen and her parents. Rachael is pictured with the winning team (above) and the gents team (below)

Ayrshire Girls Team Match
An Ayrshire Girls' Friendly Match was played against Renfrewshire Girls at Skelmorlie on Saturday. The course was in great condition, the sun was shining, the views amazing, but...... there was a strong wind blowing making conditions very tricky! Nevertheless, all the girls enjoyed the day.... gaining matchplay experience, playing a different type of golf course and making new friends:) Well done Ayrshire for recording the win! 5.5 points to 0.5.
