Ayrshire started the defense of their title today at Cardross against a very experienced Renfrewshire team. There were some very close games but Renfrewshire were on form and won the match 6 games to 2.
Freya Russell, in her first senior county match, had a great win against the new West of Scotland Champion, Julie Wilson. Our other point came from Luisa Gibson who was making her second appearance in the team after her debut at the County Finals in 2019.
In the other match Dunbartonshire & Argyll beat Lanarkshire by 4.5 to 3.5. Ayrshire will play lanarkshire tomorrow, where a win will keep our hopes alive going into the final day.
